Privacy notice
Opportunity Pakistan is free to use without an account. You can browse every page without giving us any personal information.
What we collect, and why
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address, so we can send you opportunity and deadline updates once that service starts. We haven’t sent any emails yet.
- Submit an Opportunity: the details you enter about the opportunity, and your email address so we can ask follow-up questions about your suggestion.
- Contact form: your name, email address, optional organization and your message, so we can reply.
- Share Your Experience: your name, email, age, optional school and city, your story, how you want your name shown, and your consent. If you’re under 18, also a parent or guardian’s name, email and consent. We use this to review your story, confirm consent with you (and your guardian) and publish it only in the form you agreed to. Your email, age and guardian details are never published.
- Spam protection: to stop automated abuse, the forms record a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with the time of each submission. We can’t turn it back into your IP address.
- Page-view statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits to each page. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t identify you personally.
- Your light/dark theme choice, and whether you closed the announcement bar, are saved only in your own browser.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your information.
- We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
- We don’t publish your email address or show it to other visitors.
- We never publish a student story automatically: every story is reviewed, and for students under 18 we confirm a parent or guardian’s consent first.
Where it is stored
Form entries are stored in our database hosted by Supabase. The website is hosted by Vercel. Only the Opportunity Pakistan team can read stored entries.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information you gave us, or to remove you from the newsletter, at any time through the contact form or by emailing contact@opportunitypakistan.com.
