Simons Summer Research Program

About

A summer program in which high-school juniors do hands-on research in science, math or engineering with Stony Brook faculty mentors.

Fields: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering

Who can apply?

Students from Pakistan: US citizens / permanent residents only (including those studying in Pakistan).

Age and grade: age 16+; Grade 11.

US citizens or permanent residents only, with proof required at admission (no exceptions). Applicants must be in 11th grade when applying, at least 16 by the program start, and nominated by their high school (at most two per school). Students at international schools should email the program.

Applications for 2027 are expected to be posted in late November 2026. The 2026 program ran 29 Jun – 7 Aug 2026.
